Praveen Kumar K. B.
Praveen Kumar completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from DMS, Mysore, followed by a Master of Visual Arts (Painting) from Jain University, Bangalore. He has been attracting significant attention in recent years and is widely regarded as a rising star in Indian contemporary art circles, best known for his abstract cityscapes.
His style is distinct and meditative — composed of enigmatic architectural forms rendered in geometric configurations that are rich in colour and movement. Working across oil, acrylic, pen and ink, and charcoal, his paintings depict urban landscapes as metaphors for the human condition, capturing the sighs, noise, chaos and chatter of city life.
Praveen Kumar has participated in numerous solo shows and group exhibitions both in India and internationally.
